2018 Duke Science Policy Summer Institute
Duke University is currently accepting applications for individuals to attend the 2018 Duke Science Policy Summer Institute in Durham, NC. Participants in the four-week program will receive training in producing policy materials and opportunities to interact with legislators in the state. The program also offers an optional six-week practicum that provides hands-on science policy experience in the Duke Science and Society Office. Interested students, postdocs, and researchers are encouraged to apply.
COMPASS Science Sentinels: Civic Engagement & Leadership Program
COMPASS, a non-profit that supports scientists in effectively engaging with the public and decisionmakers, is seeking applicants for its Science Sentinels: Civic Engagement & Leadership Program. The six-month leadership program will provide individuals with training on communicating the value of science in the public sphere. Interested researchers, especially those focusing on environment-related issues, are encouraged to apply.
