Description: 

Kuiper Airborne Observatory (KAO). Jeremy Wyant, Sara Beck, graduate student, Michael Skrutskie, undergraduate John Carr (Cornell University), Neal Evans (University of Texas at Austin), Antonella Natta (Arcetri Observatory, Italy), and Steven Beckwith (Cornell University), 1983. Beckwith's group developed and flew a medium-resolution mid-infrared grating spectrometer to study processes related to star formation in the interstellar medium. Evans and Natta were collaborating guest investigators, Beck a post-doctoral associate, and Wyant a group technician.
