This mezzotint of Dalton, engraved by Turner from a portrait by J. Lonsdale, was published in 1834 and was used as the frontispiece in Henry Lonsdale's biography of Dalton, which was one of his series, Worthies of Cumberland. Scanned from the book "John Dalton and the Atomic Theory; The Biography of a Natural Philospher" by Elizabeth C. Patterson; Published by Anchor Books, Doubleday and Company, Inc., Garden City, New York.
