Professor A. B. Kunz and research assistant M. Guse are discussing the theory of catalysis with several associates and members of their research group. The graphs show theoretical determinations of the potential energy surface for hydrogen and scandium and hydrogen and manganese as well as the modification of the principal bonding and anti-bonding orbitals during the H-transition metal reaction.
