Herbert J. Mossien, graduate of Alfred University joined Bausch and Lomb in 1939 as a sales trainee in its New York Office. Soon after his discharge as a Major in the Air Force, he was transferred to Rochester and named sales manager of the Instrument Sales Division in 1957, and elected assistant vice president for marketing in 1963.
