Photo taken at the Chalk River Laboratories of Atomic Energy of Canada, Ltd. This shows the 4 MV Van de Graaff accelerator with its pressure tank removed. The beam from the accelerator went through the floor into an experimental room immediately beneath the area shown in this photograph. L-R are: Eric Paul, Bernt Sargent, and John Ferguson. This was the only accelerator available at the Chalk River Laboratories in July 1955.
