The Tastes of Summer

Photos of the Month - July 2019

Audrey Lengel, Photo Archivist

Are you treating yourself to a vacation this summer? I recently returned from a fantastic trip to Europe where I had the chance to enjoy a bunch of delicious food – including Strukli, a traditional Croatian dish made of baked cheese and pastry (lactose-intolerant readers beware).

Whether you’re traveling across the world or just across the neighborhood to a barbecue this summer, let this month’s photos from the Emilio Segrè Visual Archives of summer treats, drinks, and meals get you ready for a summer of delicious tastes. This month’s Photos of the Month include shots of physicists having quick meals on the trail, hosting backyard barbecues, and attending conference clambakes and banquets.
