Professor John Archibald Wheeler of Princeton and Texas Universities was presented the 1996/97 Wolf Prize for Physics by the President of Israel, Ezer Weizman, (right) at the Knesset building in Jerusalem, last week. He was awarded the $100,000 Wolf award for his seminal contribuations to black holes physics, to quantum gravity, and to the theories of nuclear scattering and nuclear fission.
