James Zumberg (left), President of the University of Southern California, and member of the Polar Research Board/National Academy of Sciences (NSA), was involved in evaluting the Greenland Ice Sheet Project (GISP). Chester Langworth (right), Chair of the Department of Geology at the State University of New York (SUNY), Buffalo, was the Chief U.S. Scientist of GISP.
